In June 2016, Dr. Carlos A. Coello Coello
was invited to act as a Plenary Speaker
at the 10th International Workshop
on Hybrid Metaheuristics (HM 2016),
which took place in Plymouth, UK, during
8-10 June, 2016.
It was very interesting for Dr. Coello
to return to Plymouth after so many years
(he worked as a Senior Research
Fellow at the Plymouth Engineering
Design Centre, in 1998.
He found a city and a University of Plymouth
that looked very different from what he
remembered. Plymouth looks very moderns
and active. The University looks also much more
international that in 1998 and has been
completely refurbished. All these changes are
certainly for the better.
