ICANNGA'95 (Alès, France), July 1995.

In July 1995, Dr. Carlos Coello attended the 1995 International Conference on Artificial Neural Nets and Genetic Algorithms (ICANNGA'95), which was held in Alès, in southern France. This was a wonderful trip to a place with plenty of breathtaking landscapes. Registration included a sample of the superb French cuisine and a tour in a historical train from which some pictures are included below. This conference was also a great opportunity to meet people. The most memorable people Dr. Coello met in France were Dr. Enrique Alba and Dr. Carlos Cotta (both from the University of Málaga, in Spain) and Dr. Juan José Merelo (from the University of Granada,in Spain). They all appear in a couple of pictures below together with two other people whose names have vanished from Dr. Coello's memory. There are also some pictures of the city and from the place where the conference took place (the Ecoles des Mines).
