In February 2008, Dr. Carlos A. Coello Coello attended a course on "Strategic Planning" together with the chairs and academic coordinators of most of the departaments at CINVESTAV-IPN. The course took place in the beautiful ex-hacienda San Miguel Regla, which is located in the state of Hidalgo (at about 2 hours, by car, from Mexico City).

The surroundings were spectacular and invited to relax and rest, although there was little time for that. At night, there were a lot of gatherings at the hotel bar, where the attendants discussed and joked until late night hours. With no doubt, this was an unforgettable experience in which many people from the same institution, that have rarely a chance to meet, were able to talk and share their experiences.
