In March 12th, 2008, Dr. Carlos A. Coello Coello traveled to Durango, México to attend the IX Congress of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics (CIEEA for its acronym in Spanish), which was organized by the Technological Institute of Durango. Dr. Coello was one of the keynote speakers of this conference.

Due to his tight agenda, Dr. Coello could only stay for a few hours in the beautiful city of Durango. However, this reduced time was sufficient to allow him to get some pictures of downtown Durango and from the Technological Institute of Durango (see below). With no doubt, he had a great time there, and hopes to go back to visit the famous film locations that have been used by many american movies, and the also famous silence zone, located in the desert.
