GECCO'05.

In June, 2005, Dr. Carlos Coello and two of his graduate students (Ricardo Landa Becerra and Jesús Velázquez Reyes) attended the 2005 Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference (GECCO'2005), which took place in Washington DC, in the USA.

The Evolutionary Computation Group at CINVESTAV-IPN (EVOCINV) was honored for the third year in a row with an award from the Graduate Student Workshop. This time, Ricardo Landa Becerra obtained the best paper award at this workshop. All the members of EVOCINV are very proud of this achievement.

As can be seen below, Dr. Coello and his students managed to visit some of the landmarks of Washington DC and had a wonderful time during their stay in this beautiful city.
