In July 2017, Dr. Carlos A. Coello Coello and one of his PhD students (Raquel Hernández Gómez) traveled to Berlin, Germany, to attend the 2017 Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference (GECCO'2017).
Dr. Coello was a tutor at the first SIGEVO Summer School
that took place during the conference and a few days beyond it
(before and after the conference). He tutored three brilliant
students and one of them (Cyril Picard) received the First
Place.
Below, you can see a few photos of the beautiful city of Berlin,
and of the conference. Needless to say, Dr. Coello had a great
time during this trip.
