On May 30th, 2011, Antonio López Jaimes successfully
defended his PhD thesis entitled "Techniques to Deal with
Many-Objective Optimization Problems using Evolutionary
Algorithms".
The PhD jury consisted of: Dr. Katya Rodríguez Vázquez
(from IIMAS-UNAM), Dr. Arturo Hernández Aguirre (from CIMAT),
Dr. Luis Gerardo de la Fraga (from CINVESTAV-IPN), Dr. Debrup
Chakraborty (from CINVESTAV-IPN), and Dr. Carlos A. Coello Coello
(Antonio's advisor).
Several of Antonio's friends, some of his relatives and his girlfriend,
attended the defense, as can be seen in the pictures below. After the
defense, there was a meal for all the attendants to celebrate Antonio's
graduation.
