		PhD Defense of Saúl Zapotecas Martínez
		On June 27th, 2013, Saúl Zapotecas Martínez successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled "Use of Gradient-Free Mathematical Programming Techniques to Improve the Performance of Multi-Objective Evolutionary Algorithms". The jury consisted of: Dr. Edgar Emmanuel Vallejo Clemente (from ITESM Campus Edo. México), Dr. Carlos Eduardo Mariano Romero (from IMTA), Dr. Luis Gerardo de la Fraga (from CINVESTAV-IPN), Dr. Gregorio Toscano Pulido (from CINVESTAV Tamaulipas) and Dr. Carlos A. Coello Coello (Saúl's advisor). Several of Saúl's friends and relatives attended his defense, as can be seen in the pictures below. After the defense, there was food and drinks for all the attendants to celebrate Saúl's graduation.
