    request).
  • Provide their curriculum (free format), including their contact information.

translation to Spanish is required (consult your nearest embassy for information in that regard).
    • In order to qualify for a scholarship from the Mexican Government, a GPA equivalent to 8.0

    • Two letters of recommendation.
    • If accepted, additional documents will be required to apply for a student visa.
    • Full-time dedication (no part-time students can be accepted).

Scholarships

Accepted students can apply for a scholarship from the Mexican Council of Research and Technology (CONACyT for its acronym in Spanish). This scholarship covers tuition at CINVESTAV-IPN and provides a monthly allowance equivalent to four times Mexico City's minimum wage (the amount, as of 2010, is approximately $6,000 pesos a month. One US dollar ? 12.5 mexican pesos). Please note that we normally have admissions to our Masters program only once a year (in August/September) and visa applications may take several months, depending on the nationality of the candidate. Thus, candidates are encouraged to apply well ahead of time.
